TRANSPORT AVAILABLE: If you need transport, we have limited space in a van so get in touch. If you can get there by yourself, bus no.24 stops right outside - get out at Mt. Crawford 6261. If you are driving, you can park at the old prison, corner of Main Rd and Nevay Road.
The path to the gardens is a little hard to see but is on the Shelly bay side.

Don't be put off by the name, this is a beautiful community garden that is hidden away up on Maupuia hill. It used to be tended to by Mt Crawford prison inmates when the prison was in use, however now it is just community allotments, vegetables, fruit trees, flowers, herbs nestled amongst native and pine forest.
